In this capacity, he covered President Biden’s first overseas trip to Europe. Previously, Hall was a foreign correspondent based in London, England. Throughout his tenure with the network, Hall has covered numerous breaking news stories, including reporting from the front lines in Ukraine during the Russian invasion, providing coverage in Syria and Iraq during the battle against ISIS and covering wars in Afghanistan and Gaza. The book details the story of his survival, his dramatic rescue along with his arduous and ongoing recovery. Hall is author of the book SAVED: A War Reporter’s Mission to Make It Home, which published March 14, 2023. After several surgeries, he is currently recovering at home in London with his family. With the help of the nonprofit organization Save Our Allies, Hall was safely evacuated out of the combat zone and into Poland where he was then transported by the United States Military to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and then later to the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Tragically, his colleagues Pierre Zakrzewski and Oleksandra "Sasha" Kuvshynova were killed in the attack. In March of 2022, while covering the war in Ukraine, Hall was catastrophically wounded when his team was struck by incoming fire outside Kyiv.
